Our Story

In 2024 Hans ‘Dutch’ Dekkers, passionate Mecedes Benz mechanic and founder of the company, transferred his business to David Hřidel, a certified master Red Seal Auto Service Technician with over 15 years of international experience. His credentials span Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Canada, where he spent a year working for Porsche. As well expertise in North American, Japanese and other European cars, he brings specific experience working on high performance cars. He’s also a very nice guy.

A word from Hans ‘Dutch’ Dekkers:

'‘I bought my Benz back in 1983, a four-years young W123 (E Class) MB 200D. When I sold it two years later, with 300,000 km, it was still in mint condition. I have driven and maintained Mercedes ever since. David is a very nice young man and a very precise workman. I am delighted to hand the business over to such a skilled and trustworthy mechanic. You’re in very capable hands, believe me. And don’t worry… if you miss me, I won’t be far away.’’

Who was Mércèdes Jellinek?

Mércèdes Jellinek was the daughter of Austrian automobile entrepreneur Emil Jellinek, an early admirer of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft (DMG) cars in the late 1800s. He soon became their most energetic and productive dealer.

Intensely competitive, Jellinek had been racing DMG cars and helped the company improve the racing success of their current designs. In 1901, he named a new 35 hp racing car after his 11 year-old daughter, Mercedes. The innovative car went on to sweep Nice Week, an annual sporting event on the Riviera. DMG initially thought they would call the car the New Daimler but changed their minds to Mercedes (no doubt at Emil’s insistence). They trademarked the name and began using it for their entire production line; a name synonymous with automotive glamour and excellence for the last 116 years.
